Appointments can be scheduled online or by calling our office. For a SICK VISIT CALL THE OFFICE right away. Do not use online services for a sick visit because this may delay your child’s appointment. Kennesaw Pediatrics sees sick children the same day the parent calls.

It is necessary that an appointment is scheduled for each child who needs to be seen. Without an appointment, we are not able to see your additional children even if they are in the exam room with you.  The physician can only see the child who has the scheduled appointment due to time constraints. Please do not ask for other children to be seen at that time. However, we will be happy to schedule all of your children for consecutive appointments with the same physician. That way, they can all be seen at the same appointment.

Please arrive at your appointment on time; 10 minutes prior is ideal in order for you to get settled and checked in. If you know you are going to be late please call the office to let us know. We will make every effort to work you into the schedule for that day. However, this is not always possible. If you are 15 minutes late it may be necessary to reschedule your appointment for another day. This will keep us from getting behind and delaying other patients. We make every effort possible to keep waiting times to a minimum.

Patients seeing a specialist often are required by their insurance company to have a referral prior to the appointment with the specialist. Please check with your insurance company to determine if your specific policy requires referrals. We are happy to assist your with a referral; please contact our office 5 business days prior to the scheduled appointment. You can call the office or login to the Patient Portal and fill out the "Request a Referral" form 24 hours a day. It is your responsibility to ensure you follow all requirements of your insurance.

Kennesaw Pediatrics maintains the highest standards of sanitation, both in cleaning procedures and in the design of our office. First, we have completely separate sick and well waiting rooms isolating the well children from those who are sick. In addition, KP has an exclusive newborn waiting room to further protect newborn infants. This room has a private entrance and is used only for children up to age 6 weeks.

Sanitation procedures are followed meticulously throughout the entire day in order to eliminate the possibility of contamination.  The waiting rooms are cleaned three times daily and every check-in station has hand sanitizer and wipes readily available for everyone. In addition, a professional cleaning crew cleans the entire office every night. Even our air conditioning system is assisting in the removal of airborne pathogens with industrial strength hepa filters. While we cannot provide complete isolation in a public place, we continue to take all measures possible to prevent the spread of germs.
