Pediatric Care Services
Complete Care for Growing Kids
At Kennesaw Pediatrics, we offer comprehensive pediatric care services designed to support your child’s health and development from birth through adolescence. Our team is dedicated to ensuring that every child receives the best possible care in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Wellness Checks
Routine well-child visits are crucial for monitoring your child’s growth and development. These visits provide an opportunity for preventive care, including screenings and immunizations, and are key to maintaining your child’s health. Starting from the first few days after birth, these check-ups occur more frequently during the first two years and then annually until age 21.
Sick Care
We understand that illnesses are part of growing up. Kennesaw Pediatrics offers same-day appointments for acute illnesses to address your child’s needs without delay. Our clinic features separate waiting areas for sick and well children to prevent the spread of illness, and we offer a patient alert system for those who prefer waiting in their car until the nurse is ready.
Our Vaccine Philosophy
Vaccines are a critical part of preventive healthcare. Kennesaw Pediatrics follows the immunization guidelines recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We believe in the safety and efficacy of vaccines to prevent serious illnesses and protect the community.
Vaccine Schedules
We adhere to the AAP-recommended schedules for routine administration of vaccines from birth through 18 years. Our staff is trained to ensure vaccinations are given safely, using a system of two-person verification to guarantee correct administration.
Common Questions and Transparency
We encourage open dialogue about vaccinations. You may request an appointment with a physician to discuss any concerns you may have about vaccine safety, the benefits of immunization, and the risks associated with non-vaccination. Future vaccination appointments will be administered by a LPN.
While we follow the AAP-recommended vaccine schedules, we are willing to administer vaccines according to individualized plans. Those alternate schedules must be provided by the patient.
Commitment to Vaccine Safety
Safety is our top priority. We meticulously record vaccine batch numbers and administration dates in your child’s medical record. Families not following the standard vaccine schedule are asked to acknowledge understanding the risks and benefits of their chosen path.
