At KP, your child’s health is our top priority and we believe that should not change during a government shutdown. If you are a federal employee experiencing a loss of income due to the current shutdown, KP has a program in place to help.
We will see your child, even if your insurance is currently inactive due to lack of premium payment. Collection of all copays and deductible amounts due will be delayed until 14 days after the end of the shutdown or 60 days from the beginning of the shutdown, whichever is first.
This applies to all established patients from affected families.
And…
Even if you are not our patient, we will see your child temporarily if your family lives in our coverage area, within 30 miles of the practice. (For temporary patients, proof of residence will be required. Contact us for details.)
We will also help you find community resources to help with food, formula, utility bills and other expenses. Please see the list below. Also, if you are aware of a local resource not listed, please add it using the form at the bottom of this page.
