Flu is no fun. And the flu vaccine is your best bet for protecting your child against this potentially serious illness. In the past, kids over two years of age could receive the flu shot or the nasal spray, or Flumist. Unfortunately, the evidence shows that the mist just isn’t effective. As a result, both the US Centers for Disease Control and the American Academy of Pediatrics are recommending the shot, not the mist. So that we provide the best protection for our patients, Kennesaw Pediatrics will be following this recommendation and offering only the shot this year.
